Fall Virtual Workshop:
Road to Revision

Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays, live on Zoom, from 7pm - 8:30pm for weekly lectures from industry professionals. This workshop is specifically designed for authors with completed manuscripts, ready to revise! We will focus on two participants each week for a collaborative workshop and help you develop a roadmap to a revised, query-ready manuscript.

Cohort is limited to 12 authors.

Week 6: October 13

Lecture: Get Ready to Query w/ a Literary Agent - Sara Megibow

During this 6-week cohort, we will also utilize GroupMe for questions, struggles, and support as each participant crafts a roadmap to revision.

​

Introductory Pricing is $650 and includes:

​

  • 6 lectures

  • 6 workshops

  • feedback on your first 10 pages from all workshop participants

  • feedback on your full synopsis and first 50 pages from an Owl Hollow editor

  • access to our community via GroupMe 

  • a resource library of all materials used in lectures

Sara Megibow, President of Megibow Literary

Sara  is the President and  Senior Literary Agent of Megibow Literary Agency.  She has worked in publishing since 2006 and represents New York Times bestselling authors. Sara specializes in launching debut authors and working on long-term career  development and profit strategy. 

​

Sara will be teaching a class on how to polish your query and opening pages to hook a literary agent.

Elly Blake, Author

Elly is a New York Times bestselling author of six young adult novels including the Frostblood Saga and the Thirstwood series. She lives in Southwestern Ontario with her husband, kids, and rescue dogs.

​

Elly will be teaching a class on structure and pacing.

Kristin Button Wright, Author

Kristin is an author of suspense, women's fiction, and young adult romance novels. By day, she is a practicing attorney in Virginia where she lives with her husband, her sons (when they are home from college), and her dog, Indiana Jones.

Kristin will be teaching a class on character agency and motivation.

Olivia Swenson, Developmental Editor

Olivia is the developmental editor for Owl Hollow Press. She helps our authors, from acquisition to publication, develop their vision and bring it to life on the page. She has also worked for Skyhorse Publishing, Rebellion Publishing, and she freelances. Olivia lives in Pennsylvania with her husband and children.

Olivia will be teaching a class on scene-level revision.

Jen Hawkins, Author & Acquisitions Editor

​

Jen is an author of women's fiction and young adult novels. She is the Director of Client & Partner Relations and the Women's Fiction Acquisitions Editor for Owl Hollow Press. Jen lives in Tennessee with her boys and a couple of bossy rescue dogs.

​

Jen will be teaching a class on theme, and how to implement it through the revision process.

Emma Nelson, Publisher & Author

​

Emma is the founder and publisher of Owl Hollow Press. As an author first, she built the Owl Hollow brand by focusing on the development of individual authors. Emma lives on a farm in Virginia with her family and a whole bunch of animals.

​

Emma will be teaching a class on how to diagnose a manuscript draft and develop a revision plan.
