Q&A with Author Ron Walters

Author Q & A

OHP: What’s your favorite part of the writing process?

RW: Revising the first draft!

OHP: Do you write in silence, with music, or surrounded by chaos? 

RW: It depends on the day, but in general I can write in almost any environment.

OHP: What’s your ideal writing retreat destination? 

RW: A cabin on a lake surrounded by snowy mountains.

OHP: What’s your strangest or most unexpected source of inspiration?

RW: Word Hippo, my favorite online thesaurus.

OHP: What’s a writing ritual or superstition you have?

RW: I always stop writing in the middle of a scene. Knowing it’s unfinished helps me get back into the groove the next time I write.

OHP: What’s something about being an author that surprised you?                                                                                                                                                                              

RW: Every book is as hard to write as the previous one.

OHP: Are there any ‘secrets’ hidden in your books?

RW: Some of the names and numbers in Rust Bucket are references to other sci-fi books and shows.
