She's a native of the Detroit area, a graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and has practiced law in many fields, including big firm litigation, criminal defense, personal injury, local government, and divorce and custody. She has written many a chapter beside a pool at a swim team practice.

Although Kristin keeps very busy she’s managed to write TWO amazing books, her contemporary romance HERE’S WHERE SHE MEETS PRINCE CHARMING, and her soon to be released romantic dramedy THE TOTALLY TRUE TALE OF A HELICOPTER DAUGHTER. Keep reading to find out more!

Here’s Where She Meets Prince Charming

On paper, seventeen-year-old Natalie Tremayne has it all. She’s got stellar grades, a passion for theater, and more than enough talent in the swimming pool to make her plans for four parent-free years at the college of her dreams realistic. The only place she’s missing anything is socially: the tall and buoyant body that benefits her in the pool has only ever intimidated the boys at her school.

When the enigmatic new kid Campbell Adams gets the lead role in the school’s production of Beauty and the Beast, Natalie begins to wonder if her drought is about to come to an end. Their connection is instant: Campbell is a mystery that Natalie is determined to crack.

But when the secret he’s made himself invisible to hide has nothing to do with the Dread Pirate Roberts or sparkling in the sunshine, Natalie finds herself swimming in a whole new pool of reality.

With her high school days coming to an end and college on the horizon, Natalie will have to learn that the best way to make the universe laugh is to make a plan, and that the lemonade you make yourself out of life’s lemons is the best drink in the world.

The Totally True Tale of a Helicopter Daughter

Not many high school seniors expect to take their whole families with them to college, but that’s exactly what Lucy Schuster’s way-too-overinvolved father is planning. The news detonates like a bombshell. Her mother is devastated not to have been consulted at all. Her younger sister is outraged to leave her friends. Her boyfriend can’t understand why it’s a big deal. Only her best friend, Henry, agrees: it’s the last straw. It’s time for her dad to land the helicopter.

While Lucy struggles to unwind herself from sixteen years of almost-literal parental bubble wrap, her mother supports her and separately issues her own ultimatums, threatening to leave and break up the family. Lucy is determined to find a way to keep her parents together and go to college on her own. Telling her father he’s wrong doesn’t work: she’s going to have to show him that accepting too much help will hurt her, or she’ll never be able to stand on her own.
